Hey Pauly, I would like to bother you for a minute of your time. I am working on improving my speed on my 2 click flares but I think I am doing something wrong. I am using one of those loopers that increases tempo every time but I don’t know if i should use that. You think that I should keep using that kind of looper or maybe just practice with a beat on a locked tempo and then change the beat to a bit faster beat after a certain number of hours of practice? Thank you so much for your help, it means a lot. BTW I am not trying to take a short cut and become super fast overnight, I just think that the way I am practicing could be wrong. Thanks!!!

  5. Pauly I need help I learned scratching the old dayz back when no one shared nothing the best you could get was a dmc vhs and even then it was Japanese instructions (no offence im English) anyway I learned and now theres videos of the best doing things differently to me but I can get the same sound (basically I feel I got bad habits I can’t shake) does this matter because I been scratching 25 yrs and can tear it up. Am I worry worry about nothing because it should not matter if im still getting the same effect but using different techniques.
Oh please please I payed out 300 pounds on a mixer a urei and the X fader don’t sound crisp or dry enough, it seems its harder work for the clean dry cut if you understand that. The mixer you are using has a fantastic fader I can hear it and im after a mixer with the same type fader as good as BUT because I waisted money on this hand built mixer I don’t get on with im short for money. Any ideas on a mixer just a 2-3 channel mixer with a superb xfader for 250 pounds 500 dollors. Please is there any hope and I live far from the nearest shop with mixers and they wont demo 🙁 I’ve lost a bit of trust after buying the urei. My one love mixer was the technics 1200mixer from dmc days I had so any IDEAS AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Dope and don’t listen to the comments about the glasses they are top notch, they were actually used for sport in England years ago before contact lenses in snooker because you could play without the glasses frame annoying you’re vision and costing you a 200k shot /pot on the table a guy was famous who became world champion using the same type of glasses but wore them upside down to give a bigger spectrum of view and become famous for them like a certain oldskool dj. Always the old pioneers respect to the oldskool. I thought I share that lol have a itching day

  10. thank you so much for this tutorial pauly! would be awsome if you made more of these in the future as this video has helped me greatly to learn this technique. i can pull it off pretty good up to about 160bpm so far so i gotta keep at it!

  11. I am workin’on BommerangS right now…even they are a very humbling an’technical Skratch!
Gettin’that double-pop on the CF, but it is inconsistent with the last note.
This is an underrated Art Form to write the least!
    Delayed Flares will be next.
Thank You for posting an’keepin’me off the Streets! 😉

  13. His explanation was bit confusing. So it’s a stab & chirp while transforming while going forward and normal double click flare backwards?

  14. Thats not delayed flare because already you start from the beginning of the sample so there is no delay . Thank you

  15. So I just learned the Boomerang and came here to learn a new scratch…Mission accomplished. Respect the Cazal’s too. Cats don’t get classic hip hop chic

  16. What up DJ Pauly Smallz, good meeting you man, definitely wanna get this down for sure! Ive been practicing those Boomerangs that Dirty Digits has some great videos for, & noticed its sort of using that method. The forward slice, & then stab, & then pull the record back doing a backwards chirp. So, this starts out the same way, but instead of the backwards chirp at the end, im pushing the record forward, after the forward slice, & forward stab, & then pull the record back while both closing the fader, & opening the fader again quickly, for the second click, is that about rite? Lol. Thanx brotha, great video, your extremely appreciated my friend…. Respex… 🔥💯👍🙏🎶🌎

  18. I don’t like how I’m expected to know a boomerang beforehand. I actually came here to learn this first because I heard it was easier to learn it before a boomerang..
